I Spy Dubai: 84 or bust?

Well, so far, we have spied 84 fancy, high-profile cars out here, with a few doubles, which leads to a few possibilities, and sort of tiring conclusions:

Either the owners of said fancy cars use the same license plate for a few cars, depending on which one they choose to use: possible, yes; probable, not really.

Or perhaps the little letter in front of all the license plates really does make a difference. Giuseppe and I were driving the other day and talking about how I noticed that we saw some of the same numbers, but it seemed like different cars, as far as I could remember...and then we both sort of went "ahhhh" and the puzzle came together:

There are letters that begin each license plate, so far I have seen A-I, like A 55555 or H 74586, so that could hypothetically mean that for each letter, there is 99,999 plates/numbers. Which also means that there could be 9 5's, 9 25's, 9 100's, and so on - you get my drift.
Well, no telling yet because I have only noted a few doubles, and that is rare considering how many of the cars we have seen - like 8 1/2% or so - and that is just imagining that there is only 1 of each low number. If we were to think that there is 9 of each low number so far, that means that there are 9000 low numbers, 1000 for each letter so far (A-I = 9) and that would mean that we have seen like .9% of all the fancy, high-profile cars out here!

Possible, definitely; probable, more likely than the previous possibility.

Ugh...still posting them anyway.

So far, the run down looks something like this (and keep this in mind: a BMW and Mercedes are like a Camry and Accord in the states: even the high, yucky numbers like G 76890 have Mercedes G Class and BMW X5 and Porsche and Ferrari, so...):

There have been about 25 Range Rovers (both sport & regular), 2 Rolls Royce, 7 Mercedes G Class, 5 BMW X5, 2 Ferrari, 2 Bentley, and a plethora of Porsche's, BMW's and Mercedes galore. Now this is just a guess, but I would say that 1 in every 2-3 cars we see would be a high-end automobile. Just a guess. Welcome to Dubai.
